Join Liz Vayda from B.Willow to learn about the black market of houseplants. Rare or hard to find plants popular among houseplant enthusiasts are not always cultivated by licenced growers. An increasing number of rare plants sold online or in open air markets are illegally poached from their native lands, leading to the extinction of certain species in the wild. Learn how to be an ethical houseplant consumer, and how to support those conserving plants in their native habitats.
Pressed Flowers: Gardens4Everyone

Learn how to keep your favorite garden blooms beautiful for months-or even years. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore several preservation methods including silica drying for dimensional flowers, classic and modern pressing techniques, and air drying. You’ll also learn which flowers work best for each method and how to maintain their color over time-perfect for crafts, keepsakes, and arrangements.

Landscape expert, John Callahan of Callahan Gardens and Heirlooom will be discussing gardens and how to use tropical plants to create seasonal intrigue, as well as incorporating sustainability with perennials.
